Hi! My name is Darci Merritt. This will be y 4th year teaching Pre-K & Kinder here at Grandview. I'm so excited just thinking about all the cool things that are to come this year! So let me tell you a little about myself and my family.
My husband's name is Ben, and he's a Firefighter for the Lawton Fire Department. We have two daughters. Kayleigh is 10 and is in Mrs. Sullivan’s class. Loralei is 5 and is in our Kindergarten class! We live in Waurika, and attend church there, too.
In my "spare" time, I like to spend time with my family! I also like to take pictures, scrapbook, catch up on reading some favorite books, watch a few episodes of some favorite TV shows or watch a good movie (thanks to Netflix), and sometimes, just catching a quick nap!
A few of my favorites.....let's see... I can't say that I really have a favorite color because it changes, but I'd have to say blue most of the time. I LOVE chocolate (my favorites are York Peppermint patties, Rolos, and Hershey bars). I love "smell goods" (that's what my girls call things like perfume, lotions, and hand sanitizers). I also like pretty much any type of gift card! I feel like the Gift Card Queen at Christmas because I give out so many gift cards...but sometimes it is just better to buy what you want than to get a gift you're not really crazy about! Ha ha! I like all kinds of music, ...but you never know what might be streaming through Pandora or Amazon! My favorite band of all-time has to be Aerosmith (you can Google them). Some of my favorite movies are The Color Purple, The Great Gatsby (original, not new), The Breakfast Club, To Sir With Love, the Twilight Saga (yes, I was a Twi-hard), and too many more to list! I don't really watch sports so I don't necessarily have a favorite team of any kind (except Chicago Bears and Fighting Illini - I'm from Illinois)! My favorite animal is the chinchilla. I would LOVE to have one someday. I think they are just the coolest little creatures!
Well, there's some interesting information about me. I hope to learn more about your child and your family as the school year moves on!
Thanks for stopping by my page!
